Thanks for checking out this new concert scheme. Well, hopefully it is a lot more than that, but this idea has been birthed out of our need to do a few more shows… Aimée and I have had a lot of success booking weekend shows this past year, but scheduling performances on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday seems next to impossible.

We are now available to perform in your house for what you might call a house concert. As our schedule develops I will keep this page updated on where and when we will be available for a house concert.

OK, so what is a house concert? The first thing you should know is that it is a lot like our normal concerts (lots of music and conversation and story telling) but it is without the laser lights, fog machines, Aimée’s 37 drums and amplification of most sorts. It is truly an acoustic performance with one guitar, one drum, and two voices in your living room with friends and good food. Sounds nice, doesn’t it. Here are the gritty details you will need to know to host a house concert.

These performances will be geographically based on where we happen to be for a larger show or gathering, so you won’t have as much freedom in picking a specific date like your birthday, or your dog’s birthday, etc.

Ideally, we would like to receive $10 per person or a total minimum of $300 for each performance. In other words, if your living room only seats 15 that’s OK if you can ask for $20 from each of your friends. Because these are acoustic performances we would like to keep the number of people in the room to 30 or less.

We will need a place to stay on the evening of the performance. The house concert host will need to have a spare bed for us for that evening.

We will need food? and so will most of the people you invite to the house concert. It will be up to you to decide whether you want to host a full meal or have a potluck or simply have drinks and horsd’oeuvres.

Of course, everything has potential, so if you would like to host a house concert but you don’t think you can fulfill these requirements, contact us and we will do our best to make it happen.

Well, here endeth the shpiel. I am sure there are a number of topics and questions that I have forgotten to address. Please fill out the Request Form if you are interested in hosting a concert. Thank you for your continued support of us, our music and our livelihood. We hope to see you soon. -Joel
